Purity

On Monday night I went to Shiloh and Rickcola talked about purity.  But not just any purity, RADICAL purity.  This generation has the opportunity to see God work but only at a cost.  Matthew 5:8 says that only the pure in heart will see God, or as The Message puts it "You're blessed when you get your inside world-your mind and heart-put right. Then you ca see God in the outside world."   The only way the AIDS epidemic in Africa can be ceased is if this generation takes a stand for purity and abstains for sexual immorality.  The problem is, is that this generation has no standard.  It is up to Christian young people not to raise the standard, but to set it.  Living pure is seeking His face.

Last night on the radio Charles Stanley was talking about holiness (putrity) and that it is the utter abhorance of evil.  He said that so often we often flirt or indulge in evil and pass up the blessings God can only give if we are pure.

So what I am to do?  It should be obvious.  Get rid of the "L" by spending more time in the WORD then I do in the worLd.  By dying to flesh, fasting, praying and seeking his face through a pure life.  This is the way I need to prepare for my internship, for my missions career, for life both now and in eternity.
